Summer Intensive English Institute
Session I: July 15 – August 2, 2024
Session II: August 5 – 23, 2024
International students excel in our intensive summer English classes which are designed to quickly increase students’ English skills. Classes meet from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Students begin with comprehensive placement tests. Test results are then used to place each student in the appropriate levels for phonics, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, speech and TOEFL preparation. Students work in small groups with personal attention from the Fairfax Christian School’s teachers. Students may also attend weekly educational field trips to popular sites in the Washington, D.C., area.
Students should arrive on a Sunday before classes begin and plan to leave on a Saturday after their classes end.
Homestay placement with our U.S. families is available for students age 13 and older. Younger students may stay with their parents, family members, or assigned guardians at local accommodations near the school campus.
Students who attend all three weeks and complete their work will receive a semester of high school English credit from the Fairfax Christian School.
Tuition: $2000 for students age 9 and up
Accommodations: $1600 for homestay (age 13 and up), weekend excursions, school transportation and airport pick up and drop off.

US Culture Camps
The Fairfax Christian School runs US Culture Camps for international student groups. The camps are customized to the needs of each group and include English instruction, academic instruction, and excursions to local sights which may include the US Capitol, White House, DC Monuments and Memorials, Mount Vernon, Great Falls National Park, The Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center.
