We want to make sure all of our students have a pleasant experience traveling and strongly recommend you follow the suggestions below.

  • ALWAYS travel with an up-to-date, signed I-20 form that will not expire while you are out of the country.

  • Staple your I-20 form inside your passport.

  • Request airline assistance for Passport Control. Most major airlines will provide staff to walk students through the Passport Control area and help with any issues.

  • Always travel with the school telephone number, 703-759-5100, and let the school know when you plan to enter the county. Passport Control may call for assistance if there are any problems and may need to confirm your attendance at the Fairfax Christian School.

  • Make sure that you know the contents of your luggage.

  • Confirm all I-20 fees are paid.

  • Remember, new students can only enter the country 30 days before the start of school.

  • When possible, avoid international flights which land in the afternoon. This is the busiest time for Passport Control at Washington-Dulles International Airport.
